This cover shows two boys discovering a very nice scale model of the Curtiss F6F Hawk on Christmas morning. Just in case Dads across the country wanted to replicate this scene next year, plans for making the model were included in the issue.

The full size F6F was on the cover of the September, 1955 Issue of Model Airplane News and we have provided a greater description of the airplane's history there.
